EL Rostro en la Ventana (Facing the Window) It is a program for discussion, criticism and analysis, whose objective is to be a space for alternative information on different topics, with a different narrative facing the traditional media. The face in the window, deals with issues of local, regional, national and international realities, with the help of different groups and collectives of people who work in deferents committed to promote social justice. the idea is to have the participation and collaboration of civil society organizations, to manage and to compile the historical memory of Latinos and Caribbeans in the United States.

Teatro Trono.
Grupo Teatro Trono began in 1989 as a result of an experience working with street children. Almost all of the founding members of Teatro Trono were formerly street children. In a few years they succeeded in consolidating COMPA and the Teatro Trono, projects in which children and young people have assumed management responsibilities. Over time the group has consolidated an organization capable of offering the population of El Alto a range of cultural activities: theater, library, movies, art exhibitions.

From “Fe de Erratas” to “Contratiempo”
A conversation with Febronio Zatarian and Raúl Dorantes about the literary Magazine Contratiempo and the origins of literary and cultural magazines in Chicago and the United States. Because of the US cities with significant Hispanic neighborhoods, Chicago is the only one in which Spanish-language literary and cultural magazines have emerged in a persistent way. From 1990 to 1993, eight issues of Tres Américas were published, and from 1992 to 1995, twelve issues of Fe de erratas appeared. These two tacit publications shared the same objective: to publicize the literature in Spanish that was being produced in Chicago, especially short stories and poems. In other words, these two magazines gradually became the vehicles for the first texts written in Spanish in Chicago to become known.
